Victoria’s independent broad-based anti-corruption commission has charged a former Franxton City Council manager with 79 offences, including obtaining property by deception, making false documents, using false documents, and misconduct in public office. The NFP Risks and Compliance reports that the investigation started after a top off from council and follow Operation Topi, an IBAC investigation into allegations of improper procurement to obtain Franxton City Council Funds. Law created in 2016 makes it mandatory to notify on these issues.
